Appraisals for Jewelry Insurance

All scheduled jewelry requires an appraisal. Our appraisals for insurance include:

  • A detailed description of the gems and metals, any detected treatments of the stones, and the construction of the jewelry. All these qualities help determine the value of the jewelry.
  • One or more photos of the piece. Often photos can easily convey information that would be difficult to describe in words.
  • A fair and unbiased valuation. An inflated valuation on an appraisal does not change the value of the jewelry; it would only cause you to pay higher insurance premiums.
  • A jewelry insurance valuation summary. The summary has all the data from your narrative appraisal recorded in a standardized format for the insurer.
